When diabetes-Diabetes

Mention of the word diabetes and the vast majority of people will assume that you speak or type 1 diabetes, which affects approximately 10% of people with diabetes or diabetes type 2, which is the most commonly observed form of the disease and was undergoing an alarming growth. But did you know that there is a third type of having no link with type 1 diabetes or diabetes type 2, except for the share name of diabetes.

Diabetes, type 1 or type 2, is a condition in which the body is unable to deal satisfactory sugar and, for this reason, it is sometimes called sucre.En revenge, diabetes insipidus diabetes, is a condition in which the body is unable to treat the water properly and, therefore, it is sometimes referred to as diabetes water.

Diabetes Insipidus is characterised by an exceptionally high intake of fluid, high production of urine and, in some cases, a thirst excessive.Les Diabetes Insipidus symptoms include frequent urination, awakening at night to urinate or involuntary urination while they dormaient.En in addition, the volume of urine production increases because the body is unable to concentrate there and it is usually very pale in colour or colorless in appearance.

There are four types of diabetes insipidus:

Neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus

Neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus (also commonly called pituitary Diabetes Insipidus) is caused by a lack of the hormone vasopressin, is produced by the pituitary gland which is necessary so that the kidneys to function properly and concentrate urine.

Gestagenic action Diabetes Insipidus

Gestagenic action Diabetes Insipidus (also known as gestational diabetes insipidus) occurs during pregnancy and is often the result of destruction of vasopressin in placenta.

Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus

Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus occurs when, in spite of normal production of vasopressin, kidneys not always properly concentrate urine .This forms of diabetes insipidus may be inherited and can also be the result of renal disease and certain types of drugs.

Dipsogenic Diabetes Insipidus

Dipsogenic Diabetes Insipidus is a type of primary polydipsia in which excessive consumption of liquid removes effects of vasopressin hormone .c ' is usually caused by an anomaly in the part of the brain that regulates soif.Dipsogénique Diabetes Insipidus is easily confused with neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus and the only way to determine what form of the disease, you look is to measure the production of the body of vasopressin.

There is also a second type of primary polydipsia called psychogenic polydipsia which, as its name suggests, has a variety of psychosomatic causes.

Despite the fact that there are some similarities in the symptoms of diabetes and diabetes insipidus, it seems strange and a little more confusion, that the medical profession should have decided to give these two very different conditions of the same name.
